The first entry that is not on a snow day!! (It was actually around 70 today). Happy Valentine's Day!! It was our 9th Valentine's Day together...boy does time fly. We were able to get a sitter on Saturday night and headed to downtown Fort Worth to Bob's Steak and Chop House. It was a great time out, even if we were both ready for bed by 10.
Sawyer had his Valentine's Day Party at daycare. We had to go buy valentines and make him a box too. It was a fun art project that we were able to do together and boy was there red marker everywhere. Reminded me of elementary school. Yesterday Sawyer got his first balloon. He would not let go of the balloon, even when he was sleeping.
Today Sawyer had his first developmental therapy session. It is very similar to speech therapy, but what I call a little meaner. She did a lot of exercises where he would have to say something, even if it was not the right word or sound, to get a toy or his drink. He got very frustrated at first, but soon caught on that he needs to make an effort to say something before he can have it. She also gave us some good "homework" for him to work on until his next session. His next speech therapy and developmental therapy sessions will be at daycare so they can see how he interacts there since he spends most of his time there.
