Wow what a busy few months we have had!!! Where to start.....let's go back to December.
The second week of December Texas got an ice storm that shut down everything for about 5 days. Good ole Texas weather!! I am so glad we had Cooper's birthday celebration early because we would have had to cancel if we had planned anything for his actual birthday. Here is my ONE year old!
For Christmas we went down to Jake's parents for a couple of days and then headed off to Pittsburgh. We split our time between Pittsburgh and Geneva and had a great 6 day trip. Both boys did very well with the travel, new people, different climate, etc. We stayed with my grandparents and Sawyer especially had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa. We went with my dad (Grandpa Bruce) and Kathy (Sawyer calls her GG) to the Children's Museum and the Science Center. Both are awesome places and I can't wait to take Cooper back when he is a bit older. We visited Mimi & Pap and Sawyer got to drive the golf cart with Pap.
We traveled to Geneva to see more grandparents and Sawyer got to decorate a gingerbread house with Great-Grandma (she is GG too) and watch lots of sports with Papa.
When we got back from our travels the work began on our house. We had the entire house repainted and had crown moulding put in so we could get it on the market. It turned out beautiful...almost makes me want to stay...almost :) Here is a link to the pictures we had taken. Our house was on the market for less than 24 hours and we had multiple offers. I must have a pretty good realtor :) Before we put our house up for sale we put a contract on a new house for us! It is a little less than a mile away from where we live now and is zoned for a wonderful elementary school for the boys to go to. It is about 1300 square feet bigger than our current house and the boys will have a play room and their own "office." Jake will have an office too and we will finally be able to get the printer and all of Jake's real estate files out of our closet. We are updating a good majority of the house so after we close next month we will have people in to replace floors, paint, replace baseboards, change cabinet colors, etc. I cannot wait until everything is finished and how we want it!
Baseball season kicked off this past weekend and Jake is the proud coach of the LugNuts. Sawyer did great at his first game! Cooper is walking, talking and is everywhere these days. He and Sawyer are starting to play well together and the fights between brothers have also started. Cooper is going to be "that child" and there are many times where I have to get him off of Sawyer because he will tackle him and sit on his head.
Here is a final picture of my boys just hanging out.
